Julie Nye, RN, Reflexologist

Julie is a certified pediatric and neonatal nurse practitioner. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Skidmore College, and her master’s degree in maternal-child health from Boston College. She has spent the majority of the past 20 years working in neonatal intensive care.

Upon witnessing and experiencing the effects of body and energy work, Julie became interested in exploring these modalities as an adjunct to her medical practice. The subtle yet powerful effects of energy and bodywork are often unachievable by traditional western medicine where the focus is more mechanical, technical and pharmacologic. Julie believes that regular body and energy work can help prevent illness and promote health, and can also work as a beautiful complement to traditional western medicine.

Julie received her certificate in Reflexology, and training in Polarity from the Palmer Institute of Massage and Bodywork in Salem MA. Additionally she has studied CranioSacral Therapy with the Upledger Institute, and received advanced training in Reiki from John Harvey Gray.  With training and practice in these four modalities, Julie finds great satisfaction in working with people and their bodies on both energetic and physiological levels. Her goal is to provide clients with the relaxing experience of stress reduction and energy balancing, while giving them a feeling of improved health in body, mind, and soul.
