Literally translated, Shiatsu means “finger pressure.” Shiatsu is a traditional Asian bodywork therapy that balances the body’s vital energy (Ki) through palm pressure, thumb pressure and stretching along energetic pathways called meridians. Clients are fully clothed and sessions are generally conducted on a futon mat. Although very different from Swedish massage, Shiatsu is similar in that it relieves muscle tension, and soreness and promotes health by supporting the body’s natural healing process.

I am a carpenter. Whenever I do demolition, my arms, shoulders, and neck become like rocks. It can last for a week or more and used to bother me a lot during the construction following demolition.
No longer. One session with Jess and a good night's sleep put me to rights entirely. I've known her for over a year now, and I think she is the most consistently effective massage therapist I have ever been to. Thanks!
